La Plagne has recently celebrated 50 years as a ski resort and each of these 50 years has seen the resort
improve and grow into the world class ski area we enjoy.
For those who don´t know the area, La Plagne is situated in the Tarentaise valley in the French Alps.
The resort caters well for every level of skier or snowboarder with a great mix of on piste runs and some fantastic off piste stuff too.
The off-piste skiing and snowboarding that´s available is a match for most experts, hiring a guide is the best way to make the most of the terrain here.
The resort has a relaxed and unpretentious feel to it and is great for families and groups of friends alike with something to suit everyone.
La Plagne is linked to the resort of Les Arcs by a huge cable-car, the Vanoise Express, and the combined Paradiski area totals 425km of piste.
The on piste runs in La Plagne cover a whopping 225km (not including the runs in Les Arcs- another 200km)
There are 2 terrain parks, 2 half pipes and an inflatable Big Air jump. In total the ski area rises from 1250m to the top of the Bellecote glacier at 3250m.
La Plagne is a purpose-built resort made up of ten interlinked villages.
The Skibug chalets are located in the pretty wooded area of Plagne 1800, one of the six high altitude villages in La Plagne and also up in the La Foret area next to Plagne Centre.
Those looking for après-ski activities are in luck. As well as being home to the Olympic bob-sleigh track, La Plagne has loads of other activities to keep you occupied. Skidoo trips and dogsledding for example.
In terms of nightlife, the pubs, bars and clubs in the various villages of La Plagne keep any bar-fly entertained.
La Plagne passes are for the 225kms of pisted runs in the La Plagne side of the Paradiski area but new for winter 2016/17 your La Plagne pass will now allow 1 day in Les Arcs with access via the Vaniose Express cable car. An extra 200kms of pisted runs!
Full Paradiski passes allow unrestricted access to both Les Arcs and La Plagne. A total of 425kms of pisted runs to choose from at any time!
