The nature of our business means that we rely more heavily than most on the environment around us, so at Skibug we do what we can to look after it and to make our contribution to the effort to slow global warming.

 

We offset the carbon emissions of the airport transfers and shuttle-runs that we provide to our guests - we do this by donating money to carbon footprint ltd; our donation helps reforestation of trees in the UK and the development of green energy (windfarms) in AfricaWe recycle as much as we possibly can (about two-thirds of our daily rubbish)Almost all of our communication to guests & suppliers is by paper-saving emailWe encourage our suppliers to do their bit too

Travelling by train is more environmentally-friendly than travelling by air - check out Rail Europe to look into booking a train to the AlpsOffset the CO2 emissions from your journey out to the Alps - click on carbon footprint to calculate your offsetUse the recycling bins in our chaletsSwitch off lights and heaters when you leave the roomDon't take your lift pass home with you - the lift pass office can overwrite it with another skier's details if you hand it back (and they'll refund your 3€ deposit too), which saves them producing a new one
